First if you're not sure what Kiva is, start here. If you're interested in making a Kiva loan of you're own start here.
This is my monthly shout out to my personal favorite website to help provide microloans in countries with little opportunity. The repayments on my previous Kiva loans come in the 15th of every month and I decided to use them to make a new loan each month. Septemeber's loan is going to the Terimbere Munyarwandakazi Sake Group in Rwanda, Africa. The description reads,
"Egidia is born in Rwanda. She is 35 years old and a member of the Terimbere Munyarwanda group. She is married and has one 13-year old child in school. Her own education level is nine years of primary school.
This is her second loan cycle with ACV. She is going to use this loan to buy cow hides for resale.
Her business strategy is to improve customer service by delivering orders on time. In the coming years, Egidia would like to increase her sales volume. She plans to use the revenues to pay school fees for her children and improve the quality of life for her family."

I like that the kids' shirt is advertising Jaegermeister! Jaegermeister means master of the hunt. Maybe he'll grow up to poach rhinocerouses or something.
